The firm is a clinical-stage vaccine company.Design, develop, and implement a total rewards philosophy and strategy and identify operational initiatives, processes, and plans necessary to achieve the strategyLeads the compensation and benefits team in designing market competitive programsCreate a competitive base pay compensation structure and manage its communication to employeesWork with senior leadership to define the compensation philosophy for the organizationPerform competitive analysis and recommend annual stock and bonus targets, or potential modifications to existing programsLead all aspects of the annual performance rewards programSelection and Management of benefits brokers to make recommendations on strategic benefits changes tailored to the organization; ensure benefits planning takes pending ACA regulations into accountLead wellness and other initiatives designed to enhance the employee value propositionDevelop, communicate, and maintain effective employee recognition programsCreate presentations for senior leadership and Board of Directors on relevant compensation and benefits topicsWork with consultant on annual executive compensation review and draft of proxy CD&AConduct periodic internal equity reviewsDevelop competitive variable and premium pay policies for the organization (ie, shift differential, holiday pay, call-in pay, etc.Select and implement Human Resources Management System(s) and other HR Technology, and ensure data accuracy and integrityRequires BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or other HR related fieldRequires 15+ years of applicable industry experience and 5 or more years of leadership experienceExpertise in executive compensation programsAbility to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with senior leadership, managers, and employeesAbility to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with staff from other departmentsDemonstrated experience and relevant expertise in the design and implementation of effective compensation and benefits programs, preferably in the biotechnology industry
