This position represents an exciting role to grow GDIT's presence across HHS with a focus on FDA, CDC and HRSA. Building on an existing portfolio of capabilities, the Director will expand our existing customer base. They will be responsible for working with our existing partners and evaluate new potential partners to expand our business. This position will execute an approved working account strategy, ability to analyze customer budgets, follow IT trends and mandated healthcare requirements, and hunt for new business. Ideal candidate must identify a pipeline of opportunities and drive key opportunities through the business acquisition process from identification to award, including hands-on capture activities such as assisting with the technical strategy, reviews, writing and insight into win themes competitive intelligence and customer hot buttons. Must be able to qualify and close opportunities that meet both long and short-term budget goals. Candidate will be responsible for supporting our competitive position and conveying our capabilities to key customers. Candidate coordinates and exchanges information and leads with managers and other personnel.Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. Master's degree preferred., Candidate must have 12+ years with a successful track record developing relationships within the HHS/FDA, PSC, HRSA, and/or NIH marketplace (C level contacts), potential large and small business partners, and closing new business. Range of experience should include identifying large IT contracts, presenting cost/benefit analysis and capabilities to C level contacts, and closing new profitable business. Candidate must have a solid understanding of the business acquisition process. He/she must have intimate knowledge of the marketplace and be able to identify, qualify and close both strategic and tactical opportunities ($50M+) through his/her relationships with the customer. Candidate should be able to balance the clients' needs with the firm's initiatives and goals; must be a demonstrated self-starter. Must demonstrate the ability to make decisions, such as prioritizing relationships to develop, negotiating with clients (internal and external) and overcoming obstacles with minimal supervision; the ability to make independent decisions when appropriate and necessary.
