Technical Director: Threat and Weapon Systems Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG) is searching for a driven and proactive individual to fill the roll of Technical Director (TD) for Threat and Weapon Systems. The TD will be responsible cultivating and executing the strategic vision for the science and engineering development of the Threat and Weapon System Engineering Division (TWSED). This includes understanding the complete TWSED portfolio to guide the unified development vision for current and future customers. Additionally, the TD will identify and develop capabilities to extend the TWSED's current portfolio to support business development. Responsibilities will include: Lead and execute radar and weapon system modeling efforts Provide subject matter expert experience to support US NAVY, PEO-IWS, Aegis BMD (AB) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customers Guide science and engineering efforts to meet the current and future needs of existing US NAVY, AB, and MDA customers in the areas of Hypersonic aerodynamics, flight mechanics, thermodynamics and material sciences Advanced propulsion system design Optimal guidance and control Radar/Laser/LIDAR/EO/IR signatures Radar and weapon system modeling Environment simulations Model and Simulation architecture design, development and maintenance Guide science and engineering efforts to meet the current and future needs of the broad Department of Defense and Commercial communities Identify useful novel technologies by review of classified and unclassified journals and attendance at related technology conferences Team with small companies to bring continued innovation to DoD customers Present SEG's capabilities and future vision to current and potential customers in support of business development efforts Work with SEG's business development team to identify opportunities and to support proposal writing Required SkillsRequired Qualifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance MS or higher degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics 15+ Years work experience (10+ with a Ph.D.) Experience leading 20+ people Significant experience performing fundamental research or engineering design Significant experience developing models and simulations Demonstrated ability to communicate well through written documentation and oral presentations Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with SEG's threat and weapon system simulations Experience leading and performing radar, missile and weapon system modeling Significant experience with the ability to develop capabilities in the areas of Cyber warfare/defense Electronic warfare Design of radars, missile seekers, waveforms, signal processing and logic design Radar hardware design and development Multi-spectral fusion and signal processing Multi-static signal processing Company Overview: Systems Engineering Group, Inc.
