You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade in the Federal service, which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. At the GS-07 level, applicants must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
To be creditable, this experience must include experience assisting with investigations and litigation of antitrust and consumer protection matters, conducting legal and relevant industry research, producing written and oral reports based on interviews, research and data analysis.
One (1) full year of graduate level education
A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience
Superior Academic (Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision or have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or have a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum).

The ideal candidate will have experience preparing analytical written work based on analysis of complex sources of information, conducting research, and developing written materials like findings of fact, summaries and analyses.
