  • DAU Faculty Plan Pay Group B and C Prerequisite Qualifications: You must possess a Master's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and at least 8 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry position.
  • You must have at least 1 year of the specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14/O-5 level or above in the Federal service or industry equivalent.
  • If selected for this position, you will be subject to a security investigation. Employment requires completion of the investigation with satisfactory results that support a Secret clearance.·
  • You must have achieved DAWIA Level III certification in an acquisition workforce discipline or you must have the ability to obtain the required certification for the position within 24 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to join the DAU Faculty Plan as established by Title 10 of the US Code. This position is in the Excepted Service (non-career). Candidates currently in the competitive service will be required to sign a statement indicating that they are leaving the competitive services voluntarily to accept an appointment in the excepted service. POSITION PREREQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS

Possess senior or executive-level management experience in International Acquisition. Experience may be as a Program Manager, Program Executive Officer, or as a senior acquisition leader in the following: a program management office, on a Program Executive Office staff, in a military Service development or sustainment command staff, in a Service/Agency HQ or on the staff of a Service/Agency Acquisition Executive, an industry equivalent, or a combination.

The selectee for this position will greatly benefit from expertise in leading, facilitating, or overseeing international acquisition programs across all phases of the acquisition life cycle. For optimum consideration, ensure your resume package clearly describes how your experience and educational achievements provide you key qualifications, including the following:
  • International acquisition management or policy experience. Hands-on expertise and leadership experience in international acquisition program management; technology security, technology transfer, foreign disclosure, export controls; international cooperative programs; and foreign military sales (FMS). Relevant experiences include: negotiator for international agreements, roles in key events such as international program strategy development, milestone reviews, negotiations, FMS case development, and program management reviews, National Disclosure Policy reviews, program protection planning or implementation, or similar events.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Curriculum Development: Experience developing or managing learning assets for acquisition career fields, e.g., international program requirements development, international program planning, engineering, technology development, and product support. Experience with technologies related to designing, developing and deploying residence classes, virtual classes or web-based learning. Desired skills include ability to link desired performance behaviors to learning objectives and to design delivery methods that boost long term retention and application in practice.
  • Performance Consulting: Describe your experience or achievements or evidence of ability to consult with individuals or teams, especially in areas related to international acquisition management, international agreements, FMS, technology security/foreign disclosure, and/or export controls. Experience in leading or coaching individuals or teams to achieve even greater outcomes than they may view as possible. Experience leading process design and improvement efforts or facilitating such efforts emphasizing international program policy and process development, integration, and improvement.
  • Experience teaching or facilitating adult learning: Address your experience and ability to teach and facilitate learning by adults. Relevant qualifying experiences include 1) conveying (orally and in writing) complex managerial, technical, and business concepts to students with different backgrounds and experiences; 2) delivery methods such as guided discussions, lectures, case-studies, role playing, and leading action-based learning activities; 3) incorporating the learner's experience into the learning process and motivating learners to participate actively in learning activities.
