Work as a mid-level systems administrator assisting a government client with the sustainment of a terrestrial sensor program. Install and configure servers, workstations, switches, and routers. Apply expertise in technologies and operating systems, including RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows OS, Windows Server 2008 R2, Cisco IOS, VMware, vCenter, vSphere, Remote Desktop, DNS, and DHCP. Conduct system administration of Linux and Windows systems and networks and monitor the system information security posture by installing IAVA updates and patches to ensure Information Assurance (IA) compliance and standards. Perform complicated and difficult software or systems design engineering assignments under general supervision that requires a high degree of technical competence reflecting current state-of-the-art applications. Conduct independent technical investigations into software or systems design. Coordinate and consolidate design efforts on major projects and prepare design specifications, analysis, and recommendations for presentation and approval.
-3+ years of experience with supporting programs of record as a systems administrator
-Experience with developing installation documentation
-Experience with technologies and operating systems, including Windows OS, Windows Server 2008 R2, and VMware
-Knowledge of systems administration for Linux and Windows systems and networks
-Ability to install and configure servers, workstations, switches, and routers
-Ability to perform IAVA updates and patching to ensure conformance with IA compliance and standards
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with an Army client, including CECOM or the Software Engineering Center (SEC)
-Knowledge of military sensors
-BA or BS degree in IT, CS, or Software Engineering
