We are seeking a talented writer to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency Strategic Communications Division. The qualified candidate will research, write, and coordinate articles relating to military healthcare for publication as news releases or articles. Will conduct interviews with senior leaders and subject matter experts from across the Military Health System.  Must be a strong writer, proficient in news writing, web writing, and editing.  Must have a good "news sense" and be able to write and manage high visibility writing assignments. Successful candidate will have the ability to meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple assignments simultaneously, and produce minimum of three, 500-600-word stories per month. Must be able to interact with high level government executives and military leadership with ease.  Candidate should have knowledge of AP style and experience with medical/healthcare writing. Experience in military environment preferred.  Photography skills a plus!
