The company is a leading provider of financial services. Given the size and scope of our Retail Banking and Lending-oriented education and training, the Vice President of Retail Banking, Lending and Payments will oversee a diverse portfolio of products and services that are significant components of the bank's member value proposition and generate in excess of $5MM annually. Additionally, this position will interact with a wide range of staff, as well as Bankers in order to better assess the market needs, value of current solutions, product performance, customer satisfaction and future product opportunities. Key Responsibilities Include: Managing a portfolio of education-related products and services from a perspective of relevance, P&L, market alignment and positioning Developing a strategic plan to ensure the continued growth and adoption of individual products, along with capturing key metrics to demonstrate client success Aligning products and services around key market messaging based on current trends, opportunities and workforce dynamics Identifying opportunities to update products/services based on industry trends and banker feedback as well as new opportunities to develop education to meet emerging industry needs Contributing to the crafting of appropriate messaging for individual offerings and overall product areas to align the company's value proposition with industry needs and key trends Working closely with key clients, advisory boards and PDC to build relationships and better understand the key drivers impacting the industry - and using this level of market intelligence to strengthen the company's competitive position in the education and training space Providing leadership to a team of direct reports, as well as supporting staff, in terms of effective teamwork/dynamics, creativity/innovation, business analysis/BI and strategic thinking Working collaboratively across the broader team (education, endorsed solutions, membership, communications) to align our efforts and increase overall member value and strengthen the presence and reputation Assessing scope of product portfolio versus current/anticipated industry landscape/needs Aligning product/services/offerings to meet a more holistic market need Developing key strategies and messaging to provide greater resonance with potential purchasers Identifying key customer constituencies and developing targeted offerings in response Creating a strategic plan for the market to include strategies for growth, risks, and opportunities Building relationships with key customers via governance channels such as advisory boards, user groups and PDC - as well as direct contact with consumers of products/services 6-8 years of related experience is required for this position; College degree required - Business degree preferred Strong knowledge of Retail Banking and Lending functions at a bank Effective management and leadership skills - to include direct supervision of a team Ability to think strategically and build actionable tactics to grow market penetration/client usage Creativity and the ability to motivate a team to think and act decisively Strong financial acumen and the ability to identify KPI's and metrics to measure success Strong customer/people management skills Sales and marketing orientation Travel Required: 20-50% Preferred Experience: Experience in retail banking and/or lending head at a bank with broad knowledge of the various business lines this position encompasses Experience developing teams to a position of growth and success Product management/development skills to analyze and manage key products/services and mapping a growth plan
