- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the civilian drug-testing program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is to (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if required, submit to urinalysis testing. The selectee must sign statements acknowledging the position is identified as a TDP.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartment Information security clearance.
- This position requires you to work other than normal duty station hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or mandatory overtime.
- This position may require travel away from your normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain the DoD Personnel security Adjudicator Professional Certification within 2 years of placement and, if applicable, obtain the Due Process Credential within 6 months of completing all requisite training and experience as a condition of employment. This professional certification will be maintained during every 2-year period following the initial certification.
Directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: possessing a general knowledge of personnel security concepts, principles and practices; reviewing and evaluating personnel security case files and questionnaires of limited complexity; in addition to the use of automated systems and applying security regulations and policies.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
