    Specialized Experience: For the GS-5, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-4 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Experience maintaining files and extracting data from documents, entering data into database; reviewing and evaluating various documents, forms, etc. and providing recommendations on such to supervisors, managers, etc.; evidence in entering time, leave, work schedules, etc., in automated time and attendance system; experience processing various documents, forms, etc. in accordance with procedural guidance; experience providing assistance and answering questions related to assigned program area(s).


    Education: Four years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Your resume, optional cover letter and supporting documentation will be reviewed to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the position.     • Ability to reviewing and processing incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence and directing to appropriate staff member.
    • Knowledge of webTA or other time attendance systems; ability to maintain records for auditing purposes; troubleshoot and resolve timekeeping issues and problems.
    • Skill in using automated database applications for personnel and payroll processing. Knowledge of NFC or other payroll systems.
    • Ability to communicate in person and in writing.
