SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
For GS-07: one year of experience equivalent to the GS-06 in the federal service performing duties such as: answered phone calls; processed incoming or outgoing mail; used word processing software to create and/or edit standard letters, memoranda, and reports; entered data as provided into a database and printed pre-defined database management reports; used a spreadsheet to keep track of office operating expenses or time and leave records; processed and maintained records; keeping a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates.
For GS-08: one year of experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the federal service performing duties such as: technical work to support the operation of programs such as prepared required supporting documentation for expenditures such as employee travel, training, and office equipment and supplies; maintained a monthly operating budget account on salary and administrative expenses; gathered information from a variety of source documents for review and comparison; assisted in correspondence control; prepared travel arrangements, authorizations and vouchers and maintained time and attendance reports; Finalized documents using software applications such as electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, spreadsheet, database and graphics.
For GS-09: one year of experience equivalent to the GS-08 in the federal service performing duties such as: technical work to support the operation of programs such as prepared purchase documents; consolidated annual funding estimates into a complete budget request; organized estimates by appropriation, object class, and line item; prepared required supporting documentation for expenditures such as employee travel, training, and office equipment and supplies; gathered and organized information for inquiries; resolved problems referred by others; interpreted reports/data to determine work to be done, the scope of the project, and deadlines for its completion; provided correspondence control and coordinated information and responses with staff; maintained office records, served as a liaison between agencies to resolve issues related to advisory/technical services of administrative support functions. Prepared documents using word processing software to create, format, modify and print documents electronically.

CTAP/ICTAP: Department of the Interior (DOI) Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) procedures apply in filling this vacancy. 5 CFR 330, Career Transition Assistance for Surplus and Displaced Federal Employees requires the following order of selection for this position:
a) At Bureau option, personnel actions listed in 5 CFR 330.606(b);

The Bureau of Indian Education has determined that the duties of this position are suitable scheduled, situational and for emergency telework.
