Community Outreach Coordinator
The dynamic professional to join our Government Programs team as a Community Outreach Coordinator will spearhead our service based initiative to establish our presence in the North Winchester / Northern Virginia region to include by not limited to Page, Fairfax, Loudon and surrounding region. As a Community Outreach Coordinator, the selected candidate will have established partnerships with businesses and community groups with a dedication to community outreach.
This position is remote/work from home and requires extensive travel in the field connecting with the community and maintaining our relationships with organizations and other providers. Two weeks of mandatory training is required in the Hampton Roads region. Must use personal vehicle - mileage is reimbursed. Telephone, computer and internet service is provided. Bilingual is a plus.

The Community Outreach Coordinator is a community development and member outreach role, responsible for a geographic area generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. Creates marketplace opportunities to showcase Optima Family Care's (OFC) programs and services for Medicaid beneficiaries, advocates and community leaders. Initiates and develops community activities that drive membership growth or retention. Initiates grass-roots stakeholder development in support of OFC goals. Provides on-site management of events. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding, analyzing and articulating complex issues in the Medicaid program or in the community, including emerging health care issues.
Bachelor's Level Degree
Required: CRM Database - Previous experience, Customer Service - 3 years, Health Plan Product Support - 3 years, Outreach and Advocacy - 3 years, Public Relations - 3 years
Required: Communication, Microsoft Office, Speaking
Use of personal vehicle required.
