This is an all-platform computer operator position on the Enterprise Technology Operations Center (ETOC) Operations Team. Ensures and maintains the availability of critical systems across all computing platforms. Utilizes automation tools to process scheduled production work loads, operates high speed production printers, handles backup media, and provides level 1 technical support to customers when the Technical Support Center is closed. The Operations Team escalates complex issues to assigned support staff, ensuring that all production systems are available based on defined service levels. The state of the facility is closely monitored to ensure the optimum operational environment is maintained for IT infrastructure housed in the ETOC. The Operations Team serves as the initial point of contact for vendors resolving hardware problems. Operational tasks are performed on all platforms (Windows, UNIX, Mainframe z/OS, etc.). Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shifts. Weekends, holiday and alternating shift work is expected.

Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the following: High school diploma or GED; plus four years relevant experience; or IT job-related course work from an accredited college or trade school in computer science, computer information systems, data processing, information management or a closely related field is preferred.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

One to three years of experience supporting enterprise class information technology infrastructure components in a datacenter environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills.

Must possess the ability to lift boxes and/or equipment weighing up to fifty pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
