HR Business Partner
This role will report to the Executive Director of Talent Management & Human Resources for Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) Division. In this role, you will directly provide the strategic and operational Talent Management & HR needs for The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM). This role will be a trusted strategic partner who works autonomously with senior leaders, managers, and staff within The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM)., * Develop and oversee a full cycle talent management program for FJHM employees that contributes to FJHM achieving its comprehensive fundraising goals. * Partner with DAR Talent Acquisition team develop a FJHM Talent Acquisition strategies to attract and recruiting talent within and outside of the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine. This also includes supporting the operational aspects of FJHM candidate identification and recruitment including: + Prepare strategic interview questions for all steps in the process, with hiring manager input. + Conduct phone screen, in-person and team interviews with hiring managers. + Evaluate the effectiveness of appropriate candidate identification and measure quality of hires. + Ensure that the FJHM applicant and candidate experience is aligned with our mission and values. *Managestheadministration,evaluation,andcontinuousimprovementofanon-boardingprogramfornewemployees.PartnerswithDARHRcolleaguesincludingtalentacquisition andlearninganddevelopmentteamstoprovideaneffectiveprogramandpositivenewemployee experience that ensures that the candidate to employee experience is smooth and seamless from hire to successful position acclimation. * Lead the FJHM Staff Stewardship committee in the identification of FJHM employee engagement strategies. * Data and Metrics -Collects, analyzes, and reports relevant FJHM human resources data and uses metrics to evaluate performance and evaluate contributions to the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives. Other Responsibilities * Compensation - Partners with the university's Compensation group to administer compensation programs within FJHM and ensure compliance with established policy and practice. * Performance management - Leads training, implementation, and administration of the performance management process within FJHM. Ensures the alignment and integration of this process with other processes such as talent development, total rewards management, etc. * Talent development - Partners with Executive Director and others to develop, administer, and evaluate talent review, succession planning, and talent development processes. * Supervisor effectiveness - Develops and facilitates ongoing programming with goal of improving supervisor knowledge and skills. Identifies needs, develops content, delivers training, and provides related coaching. * Works with managers and employees to effectively resolve a range of workplace issues. Effectively triages situations, understands the range of possible responses, and selects appropriate ones. * Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in human resources, business administration, or related field required. Eight years of progressive experience in human resources also required. Master's degree preferred. PHR or SPHR certification also preferred. * Competencies - Working proficiency in the knowledge and application of employment laws and regulations, employee relations practices, positive work environment concepts, issue/dispute resolution techniques, internal investigation techniques, organization development theories and practices, talent management practices, total rewards concepts, diversity and inclusion practices, communication skills, internal consulting and coaching skills, qualitative and quantitative analysis, process improvement methodologies, project management concepts, and HR systems and applications.
