Under the supervision of a program supervisor, you will provide psychiatric rehabilitation and case management services to clients with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders within a residential or supported living program. ~ Provides psycho social educational services to clients with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. ~ Utilization of motivational interviewing skills, especially with clients who are resistant to change or slow to modify behavior. ~ Applies program specific skills of evidence-based practices in communicating and supporting clients. ~ Responsible for having introductory knowledge of public social services programs and policies; how to develop initiate and follow through with a plan of service; current health, social services and mental hygiene resources and how to appropriately link people to them. ~ Provides life skills training, behavior management and crisis intervention. ~ Conducts person centered treatment planning and ongoing assessment. ~ Researches, develops and delivers curriculum that is relevant, well written and addresses a variety of life and vocational skills consistent with clients interests and needs. ~ Facilitates psycho-social educational groups to enrich clients' lives and promote self-sufficiency. ~ Responsible for recognizing clients' level of social readiness and teaching, developing and sustaining social pragmatic skills with individual clients. ~ Assists clients to organize and structure their time and serves as a role model for good time management. Serve as a liaison with internal teams/program staff by providing timely and relevant updates on clients' behavior during groups. ~ Performs other duties as assigned. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience can be substituted. Possession of a valid driver's license with less than three points on Maryland (or the equivalent for another State) driving record required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. Transporting clients in personal vehicle is required. All deductions for benefits are made on a 'pre-tax' basis. This allows eligible employees to receive a tax break on their insurance premiums. Plan Effective Date - Coverage effective dates are: health/dental/vision/life/ insurance is the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. The FSA plan is also effective the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Disability Benefits Long Term Disability (MetLife) provides income replacement benefits when you become disabled at 60% of your earnings. To be eligible you must be an active, regular employee, work at least 20 hours per week, and a citizen or legal resident of the US, its territories or Canada. Plan Effective Date - Coverage effective date is the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Cost - Cornerstone Montgomery, Inc. pays 100% of the premium for LTD. Short Term Disability (Self-funded by the agency) - provides income replacement benefits at 50% of base salary when an illness, accident or serious health condition causes you to be absent from work 10 consecutive days to a maximum of 90 days. To be eligible you must be an active permanent employee, work at least 20 hours per week and employed with the agency for at least one year. Plan Effective Date - Coverage effective date is the 1st day of the month following 1 year of employment. Cost - Cornerstone Montgomery, Inc. pays 100% of the cost for STD. Retirement Benefits Tax Sheltered Annuity 403b (Lincoln National Life Insurance) - Employee Contributions may start immediately. The maximum contribution may be as much as federal regulations allow; contributions are made on a pre-tax basis. Employer Contributions - After 2 years of continuous service, Cornerstone Montgomery, Inc. automatically contributes a percentage of an eligible employee's earnings to the employees' retirement account. State employees credit union Employees can set up an automatic payroll deduction which deposits a portion (or all) of the payroll check into a credit union savings or checking account. Loans from the Credit Union can also be repaid through payroll deduction. The minimum deposit to join the credit union is $10.00.
