MTEQ is seeking a Software Systems Integrations Engineer with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VA Office. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:MTEQ is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Integration Engineer to support the full system lifecycle design, development, integration, test and deployment of leading edge Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions within the Force Protection portfolio. This fully funded position is available for immediate hire. A successful candidate has a diverse set of systems engineering skills with experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems, servers, client devices and networks, and components. Primary responsibilities will be to support the installation and configuration of products on various hardware platforms and installing and executing scripting, virtualization and lab automation software. Additional responsibilities include developing and integrating Web Services and installing and configuring networking appliances and network security technologies. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and be attentive to customer satisfaction and will be required to work closely with hardware and systems engineers in a small-team environment. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 - 5 years demonstrated strong performance as a Software Systems Integration Engineer, experience in installing configuring and troubleshooting computer systems, servers, client devices and networks. Experience installing and configuring products on various hardware platforms (Linux, Windows, Virtualization). Experience installing and executing scripting (Python), virtualization (VMWare) and lab automation software (Eclipse), platforms such as RHEL and Visual Studio, languages such as Java, C#, C++, C. Experience in developing and integrating Web Services (HTTP, Web Socket, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SOAP/REST, OGC, WFS, WMS, WCS). Ability to install and configure networking appliances (switches, firewalls, and load balancers) and network security technologies (Antivirus, Web Filtering, HIPS/HIDS and authentication). Minimum 2 - 3 years of defining, documenting, analyzing, performing and interpreting developmental tests for new and/or existing products, systems , and software. Extensive experience in the development of software baselines and the integration of new software and capabilities in to existing baselines. Experience in packaging and delivering software and documentation to a production environment. Ability to offer proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and applications. Experience with supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, system performance analysis and technical writing. Ability to convey technical designs, ideas and results to non-technical audiences and provide briefings to high-level government personnel. System analysis and consolidation of redundant functionality. Implement web services compliant with standards and integrate with DBMS. Experience with defining and integrating software APIs and web services interface. Ability to install, upgrade and administer operating systems and application software in a multi-user client/server environment. Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and meet client requirements. Demonstrated strong performance as a technical leader working in a multi-contractor, on-site and virtual environment. Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to develop appropriate tasks, evaluate work, and communicate progress toward project goals. Ability to quickly deliver small projects, and to frequently transition between projects and applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with gathering, analyzing, and articulating capabilities and requirements. Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint). Experience using DOORS or other requirements management tools to support mission critical requirements definition and analysis. More than 3 years of experience with Agile development methodologies DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience in supporting Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based systems within a virtualized infrastructure. Experience with integrating software/hardware in a virtualized environment. Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Milestones, Plans, Policy, Process, and Strategy. Knowledge of Army Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and/or Mission Command systems (DCGS-A, AFATDS, C-RAM, GCCS-A, CPoF, etc.) Experience with test and evaluation of hardware and software for major military programs. SECURITY CLEARANCE:Ability to obtain Security clearance preferred.
