Responsibilities The Information Security team supporting Noblis, Noblis-NSP, and Noblis-ESI, is seeking a qualified candidate to join the team. The ideal candidate currently works in an information security role and has a background in computer science, network administration, or similar technical discipline. He or she is a proactive, self-starter, and directly applies accumulated knowledge to deliver value to the organization. He or she is committed to continuous learning, and actively shares knowledge across teams and functional units. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain security documentation for multiple information systems (NIST 800-53 Rev. 4 Moderate Impact) Creating and updating process flow documentation Assist senior team members with the assessment and quantification of risk to information systems. Participate in investigations at technical and procedural levels Responding to security incidents Support other Noblis employees through the internal security certification process. Conduct vulnerability scanning of various systems and applications, interpreting the results (removing false positives) and disseminate to stakeholders. Administer Enterprise Web Proxy, assisting employees with unblock or access requests Prepare monthly reports for presentation to Information Security Control Board Qualifications One to three years of experience working with NIST Standards (especially NIST 800 Special Publication 800-53). Some familiarity with various security toolsets including Nessus, Security Center, HP WebInspect, Acunetix, metasploit, etc. General technical knowledge of various operating systems including Linux, Windows, and OS X General understanding of networked systems and telecommunications Ability to communicate technical subject matter in both written and verbal form to non-technical audiences Author custom scripts to extract information from various datasets Candidates must hold a Secret security clearance Desired Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of networked systems and telecommunications Demonstrates knowledge in information technologies to include computer hardware and software, operating systems, and networking protocols. Familiarity with security controls deployed at the network layer including packet filtering, firewalls, Intrusion Detection/prevention systems, etc. Demonstrates ability to analyze and define security requirements Demonstrates ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management. Applies Subject Matter Expertise and knowledge of current IA policy, tactics, techniques, policy, doctrine, and relationship to IA reporting requirements and structure.
