The ideal candidate for this role has a sharp business acumen for uncovering, evaluating, and closing sales opportunities; is self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, customer-focused, and requires minimum direction. Job Responsibilities Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities and contacting prospective customers through site visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and industry events in order to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas. Develops and manages relationships with acquired and/or existing customers in order to attain additional business and retain existing revenue. Develops action plans to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company. Learns and develops further knowledge of new technologies and selling points which includes enhancing expertise in the company's entire product suite. Provides comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts. Provides accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements. Meet quarterly individual and annual team revenue targets. Report and accurately forecast current and future revenue opportunities on a weekly basis. Build and establish strong relationships with current and new vendors to enable sales growth. Work hand in hand with support staff, such as Program Managers, to ensure timely and accurate project completion. #CFJFED Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of industry sales experience Bachelor's degree 3 years of client-facing experience with a Federal Government customer Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape. Knowledge and understanding of the Federal acquisition lifecycle Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close. Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative to get things done Strong attention to details Ability to multi-task and track projects in various stages in a fast-paced environment. Possess strong time management and organizational skills. Possess business and technical acumen with an ability to solve customer needs while balancing internal company processes and resources. Ability to function well in a team environment; collaborate with team members and provide mutual support for the customers' best interest. Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office. Desired Knowledge, Skills or Abilities 5+ yrs targeting Federal Government, DoD Experience selling or supporting Professional IT Service, Telecommunications/Network Equipment 1 year experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze raw data Experience with preferred.
