Vice President, Health Information Management (m/f)
The company is an educational institution.The Vice President (VP) of Health Information Management (HIM) holds an executive role within the Medical System and is responsible for the overall direction of all HIM and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) activities across all university wholly owned entities. The VP of HIM is responsible for strategic initiatives, planning, program development, labor management and overall administration of all HIM and CDI operations. The VP of HIM develops and executes enterprise-wide standardization and efficiency visions and strategies that supports the overall performance, quality improvement, and financial health of the University Medical System. The VP of HIM is responsible for the integrity of the medical record and compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory bodies.A " ?Bachelor"s degree in Health Information Management. Master's degree preferred.A' At least A' 10 years of relevant experience in leading HIM and CDI operations in a large health system.A' A' Health Information Management experience including Clinical Documentation Improvement and Revenue Cycle focus. A' Ten years of increasing managerial experience at a large health care facility and management of multi-disciplinary teams.A' Thorough knowledge of Health Information Management and Clinical Documentation Improvement operations and applicable metrics and financials including improvements and impact on operating margins.Revenue cycle and business mind with redesign and performance excellence experience.Compliance expertise in applicable aspects of HIM and CDI.Demonstrated experience in HIM consolidation in a multi-hospital system.Experience with The Joint Commission survey process.Experience with HIPAA and related federal and state privacy laws.A " ?
