MTEQ is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the design and development of a leading edge soldier worn head mounted visualization capability, providing an intuitive 'heads-up' visualization of tactically-relevant geo-registered icons through augmented reality and/or situational awareness system linked to an Android device. This fully funded position is available for immediate hire. A successful candidate has a diverse set of software development skills in a multi-platform environment to include experience with mobile application design and development. Primary responsibilities will be to support the design, development and implementation of augmented reality software capabilities, integrating directly into an existing system architecture and facility data exchange and interoperability between disparate systems. Additional responsibilities include participation in software requirements analysis, collaborative design and code review activities, as well as test plan creation and execution. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and be attentive to customer satisfaction and will be required to work closely with hardware and systems engineers in a small-team environment. Required Qualifications: Minimum 5-10 years of object-oriented, complex software system development, system architecture design, and hardware / software integration Requires intermediate Java, C++, or C# programming (or equivalent) experience Strong Mobile Application Development experience to include but not limited to the Android Platform Understanding of 3D graphics principles and procedures Experience with Augmented Reality software application development Requires skills in complete software development lifecycle Requires strong background in Object-Oriented design Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills Requires ability to prioritize tasks and show personal initiative. Requires ability to work as a team member Requires planning and organizational skills Requires ability to create, refine and adhere to formal software development processes Requires ability to develop software documentation, including user manuals and release notes Bachelor's/Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or applicable engineering, science or related discipline Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, therefore US Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Agile Software development A passion for virtual and augmented reality Skilled in the use of 3D graphics software Experience with Integrated Graphics (IG) engine background (gaming, simulation, etc.). Significant mathematics background (matrices, etc.) to work the augmented reality details (integration of sensor data, camera streams and 3D overlays) Experience with C++, JS, and HLSL Technical proficiency in areas such as lighting and rendering, texturing, and graphics-related programming languages such as shaders Experience/expertise with software code repository software (eg, git, Subversion), software project management and collaboration solutions (eg, Redmine, Trac, & JIRA), and bug reporting/tracking tools (eg, Bugzilla, Tuleap) and automated testing frameworks (eg, BuildBot & Jenkins) DoD and Army experience Security Clearance: American Citizen and ability to obtain security clearance required.
