Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance plus 8 years' FP&A experience or MBA plus 4 year FP&A experience preferably in a government contracting environment. Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience. Responsibilities/Qualification FP&A Analyst gets to provide senior management with the analysis, information, and key insights they need to make major operational, financial, and strategic decisions. Position Summary This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be leading efforts in the FP&A Department such as financial reporting, forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations and other projects requested by senior management. This function will provide key analytics to support "optimal" business decisions in the finance area. The position reports to the Senior Financial Manager. Position Responsibilities: Analyze key financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Previous experience working for investment bank (min 2 years) a plus Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance Collaborate and help drive the continued development of budgeting, forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis Monthly financial reports and forecasts Responsible for various financial functions such as budgeting, forecasting and analysis Collects and reviews financial data from various sources Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required. Maintains appropriate records and documentation Support ongoing development of our business intelligence tool () Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies Supporting senior management team and departments heads with in-depth analysis Prepare presentations to senior management team, ownership, and lenders Makes recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of the organization Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
