    This appointment requires completion of a one year probationary period unless you have previously successfully completed a probationary period that meets the following: 1) in the same agency, 2) in the same line of work (determined by the employee’s actual duties and responsibilities) and 3) contains or is followed by no more than a single break in service that does not exceed 30 calendar days. Failure to successfully complete the probationary period may result in termination of employment.

    This is a Public Trust Position. Employment in this position requires a background investigation.     Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

    Provide expert technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management and other technical specialists regarding Web and SharePoint; provide support for SharePoint development and administration to support new or existing sites; Utilize web codes and languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, Angular JS, C#/C-Sharp, Bootstrap, HTML, HTML5, XHTML, XML, LESS, SASS, CSS, and XSL/XSLT; work with users and IT professionals to determine business needs and recommend solutions; deliver customer support in order to configure, troubleshoot, and provide user assistance.

    Evidence of the above specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.

    In addition to the above requirement, you must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies.

    Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: conducting analysis to recommend solutions to complex issues affecting the delivery of information technology services.

    Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing help to users in migrating and loading content from other systems or legacy web sites.

    Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: advising leadership regarding various components and management of changes and advances in web policies, business practices and technologies.

    Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: providing multi-site support in the area of web-based application programming, analysis, and problem resolution.

    There is no substitution for specialized experience for this position.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
