Psychological Counselor, Counseling Center
Provides Marymount Students with counseling services including evaluations and intakes, individual/group therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, outreach and psycho-educational programming to the Marymount community. Involvement in supervision and training of practicum externs.
Education: Masterâ€™s degree (MA, MS, MBA, etc.)
Academic areas or major: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related discipline
Experience: 2 years of related experience, preferably at a counseling center
Specific type of experience required: Counseling/Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Supervising, and/or Community Outreach
Required licenses or certifications: Virginia Mental Health License (social work, counseling, or psychology) or ability to obtain upon hire
Special knowledge: Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word. Skills in crisis intervention, outreach, presenting information, and training
Supervisory/managerial experience preferred: 1 year of college counseling center supervisory experience
