Conditions of Employment:

1. Security and Background Requirements: If not previously completed, a background security investigation will be required for all appointees. Basic Qualification Requirements:
Degree: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position;
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field;
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
In addition to meeting the Basic Qualifications, applicants must meet the specialized experience as stated below:

GS-11: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include designing and conducting significant portions of research projects dealing with the behavioral, social, cognitive and/or statistical dimensions of survey responses in order to identify commonalities.
OR
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE FOR GS-11: Requirements at the GS-11 level may be met by completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to Ph.D. or having a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree that is directly related to the position.
OR
Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education that together meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

GS-12: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include performs and may lead professional work designing and conducting significant portions of research projects dealing with the behavioral, social, cognitive and/or statistical dimensions of survey responses in order to identify commonalities and identify causal relationships and to provide advice and guidance on survey design and conduct.

GS-13: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include performs and leads professional work involved the design and conduct of research projects that require the use of many different and unrelated methods to perform in-depth analysis of the behavioral, social, cognitive and/or statistical dimensions of survey responses.
