  • 24/7 deployable/on recall-mission essential list.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a current state driver’s license.
  • Occasional travel up to approximately 20% may be required.
  • This position is telework eligible.
  • Incumbent may be required to travel for up to two weeks for the purpose of attending or providing trainings.

Knowledge and understanding of requirements and operations of DoD and DON Emergency Family Assistance, Mass Care Programs, NFAAS IA family and emergency case management, and the Navy Repatriation Program.

Knowledge of emergency management concepts, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge of the emergency management policies and procedures of multiple federal agencies, state and local governments, in addition to those of the DoD.

Knowledge of military family programs in a military organization, center, administration, policies/procedures, and practices in conducting day-to-day operations.

Knowledge of deployment support as it relates to IA case management and emergency management.

Knowledge of military systems, communities, and resources available to members, civilians, family members, and contractors. 

Ability to develop and report estimates of budget requirements.

Knowledge of Federal and agency regulations; knowledge of the specific organization’s programs and missions, as well as knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and policies related to program/operations area to consider their impact on programs. 

Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques in the development of new procedures and approaches to identify and resolve significant issues and problems of a unique nature.

Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and frequent interruptions involving frequent pressures of short deadlines.

Ability to formulate plans of action and milestones for accomplishment of tasks and perform a number of concurrent tasks, setting priorities and coordinating completion within required deadlines.

Ability to develop, implement, and deliver training.

Ability to maintain constant awareness of barriers impeding mission accomplishment.

Skill in analyzing issues, identifying best course of action, determining potential impact on the organization, and recommending corrective actions.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
