    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following duties such as: 1) Ensure police administration is conducted in accordance with applicable policy, regulations and law, with authority to make decisions and take definite course of action normally without prior approval; 2) Direct law enforcement activities to include patrol operations, critical incident responses, parking enforcement, responses to crimes against persons and property; 3) Identify problem areas and recommends necessary changes in policies and procedures to correct deficiencies and to meet short and long range objectives. Makes periodic on-site inspections of police patrols and activities.

    SPECIAL POSITION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Must pass pre-hire, initial, and annual medical, physical, and agility testing and requirements as directed by the command.
    (Pre-Hire Physical Agility Testing requirements 1.5 mile run in 17:30 Minutes and 19 Push-ups in 2 minutes.)
    Must pass annual CPR and first aid certification course.
    MUST: be mentally stable, have color vision, be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    Duties include prolonged standing, walking, and light lifting.
    Shift work required.
    This is a uniformed, Key Emergency Essential position.
    Must maintain a license to operate a motor vehicle on the installation and pass the emergency vehicle operator's course.

    180 Day Waiver
    Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

    Selectee must complete a Special Background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication by a determining authority. A Top Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to obtain and maintain this required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.     Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. This position is in the excepted service. Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must also acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS position.
