    Basic Competencies:

    Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

    AND in addition to meeting the basic competencies above, you must also meet the specialized experience as defined below.

    Specialized Experience: To be eligible at the GS-14 you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is defines as: applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations; consulting with customers to identify and specify requirements; defining systems scope and objectives; ensuring the integration of all systems components; e.g., procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware; writing, debugging, and maintaining code; and determining and designing applications architecture.

    Selective Placement Factor: A selective placement factor is determined to be essential for successful performance in this position. Those candidates who do not meet the following selective placement factor will be rated "not qualified" for this position.

    You must have experience administering SQL (Structured Query Language) server and developing applications using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).

    Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy.
