Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Work is primarily sedentary but the incumbent may be required to perform field surveys which will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses and hard hats. It may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items.
Works in an office involving everyday risks or discomforts which require the normal safety precautions. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The incumbent may be required to visit production and construction areas which involve moderate risks and discomfort and require occupational safety precautions including the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses and hard hats.
Typical 40 hour work week is required.
Overtime and shift work maybe required.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyze work orders, project plans and requirements, and materials list to plan, estimate, schedule, and expedite production operations; 2) Carry out complete production control tasks and handle problems and deviations in accordance with instructions and policies; 3) Review customer request for construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, replacement and other services and ensure completion of work; 4) Track and monitor the status and completion of work through computerized management and maintenance system; 5) Collect and monitor information from a variety of sources and compile data to evaluate goals, detect errors, determine status of work and evaluate trends.
