    You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements:

    Basic Requirements:

    A. Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics.

    OR

    B. Combination of education and experience -- course work equivalent to a major as shown in A above, including at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

    Additional Requirements:
    You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience includes:
    Performing stability testing for active pharmaceutical ingredients and investigational drug products; Developing quality control procedures with analytical methodology and standards, ensuring consistency in analytical data; Practicing and enforcing safe laboratory practices and hazardous materials handling, following established safety guidelines; Evaluating and recommending new equipment which may automate or upgrade present automated systems.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
