AMEWAS, Inc., a growing Defense Contracting Firm, is seeking highly motivated and talented Programmers to support the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) group at NAS Patuxent River. A typical day as an NGTS Programmer: Evaluate and review C++ language code Programming using C++, Python, MATLAB and Java Add- Integrate software with RF test equipment, robotics and aircraft data buses Develop and debug C++ code using MS VisualStudio Collaborate with team members to design future enhancements Qualifications and Experience: At least 2-3 years of programming experience Experience specifically in C++ (including C++11/ 14/17 desired) Python,MATLAB,and Java Experience debugging software, version control systems (Git, SVN, etc), and build environments (make) Knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object oriented software design. Knowledge of Qt toolkit, OSG, OpenGL, UI design, and graphics are highly desired US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Programmer Level II.
