This candidate will help design, develop, deploy, and maintain the Oracle database for a satellite mission planning and visualization software. A background in mission planning specifics is not required. Job Responsibilities: The Database Engineer performs the following activities: Be a vital member of an experienced, energetic team of engineers who collaborate in person and remotely Work with a team to design, develop, and deploy high quality, efficient, scalable backend solutions for satellite mission planning Write, maintain, and deploy all database objects such as PL/SQL functions, procedures, and triggers Troubleshoot new and existing database code as needed Establish and maintain database development standards Create, develop, and maintain database design documentation Work with other database developers to provide database performance-tuning expertise as needed Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. * Must have an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area 5 years database development experience Strong understanding of relational database design Strong background in implementing complex database stored procedures, functions, and trigger in PL/SQL, T-SQL or similar language Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience using industry best practices Ability to quickly learn an existing, complex database environment Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented candidate who works well in a team environment Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices Able to communicate effectively with a distributed development team Desired Qualifications: 10 years database development experience 5 years of object-oriented software development experience, preferably using .NET Experience using a source code version control system, preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Server Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining ORACLE Label Security (OLS) Microsoft, Security+, Oracle certifications are a plus IND2 All positions at Riverside Research are subject to background investigations.
