Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a communications coordinator who will support and promote interactive practice for several large and small scale education projects. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Content creation and management, social media marketing, community relations, communications and marketing strategy, and analytics.
  • Manage and promote participation in a wide variety of communications and social media activities, including but not limited to email marketing, webinar management, twitter and other social media channels.
  • Technical support for communications efforts such and video and audio editing, WebEx and other web conferencing services.
  • Website content management.
  • Creative Coordination with graphic designers, videographers, web developers.
  • Conference support using conference apps and on-line tools.
  • Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, media studies, or related field.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge with multimedia technology, communication strategy and managing social media platforms. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, YouTube and other video platforms is essential. Familiarity with Drupal and Sharepoint is a plus. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, work collaboratively in teams, demonstrate a willingness to learn and be detail oriented.
