In this position you will provide broad PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN expertise and support to multiple technology acquisition programs within the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

You will provide a wide range of procurement related technical, analytical, and support services for programs managed by the AFLCMC ISR/SOF Directorate and ISR Sensors Division.

To achieve program goals, you will accomplish tasks through the use of software programs/databases to include, but not limited to:

• USAF Data Services, etc.
• Contracting Writing System (ConWrite)
• Electronic Document Access (EDA)
• FedBizOpps
• Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation (FPDS-NG)
• Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer)

In this role, you will provide administrative assistance to the Contracting Officer (CO) with the following tasks:

• Collect data for audit and/or report requests
• Coordinate with Defense Financial Accounting System (DFAS)
• Coordinate with other Government agencies
• Create, retrieve and request contracting reports
• Distribute contract documentation
• Prepare contracts and modifications
• Prepare source selection material
• Produce copies of acquisition documentation
• Provide database support and computer applications
• Support contract closeout
• Track contract milestones

Throughout your tenure on the DCS team you may be required to learn to use other commercial or specialized computer applications.

Your activities must be performed in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DOD FAR Supplement (DFARS), Air Force FAR Supplements (AFFARS), Mandatory Procedures (MP), Informational Guidance (IG), as well as other applicable documents and regulations, systems, and guides, as required.
Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years of any experience performed on DOD programs/projects.

Must have a Secret security clearance.

Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the Procurement Technician functional area.

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and MUST meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: This position requires US Secret eligibility on the FIRST DAY of employment.

Desired Skills:

DAU/DAWIA certification in the Contracting, Business and Financial Management, and/or Purchasing career fields.

Experience performed on DOD programs or projects, preferably supporting US Air Force sensor programs for manned and unmanned aircraft.

Broad working knowledge of the principles, criteria, and procedures of the DOD, to include DOD 5000.01 and DOD 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes at the USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, ISR & SOF Directorate, and ISR Sensors Division levels.

Master's degree in a field relevant to the Procurement Technician functional area.
