COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

skills with demonstrated ability to effectively reach different audiences, including all levels of OIG management, and manage conflicts; unimpeachable integrity and personal ethics, strong commitment to principles of diversity; high degree of flexibility, capacity for self-management, and attention to detail; strong organizational skills and ability to plan and manage multiple priorities and shifting priorities; understanding of and commitment to organizational mission and goals; ability to coach, influence, motivate, challenge, and inspire confidence among others; able to fairly and equitably apply LSC personnel policies; ability to develop and lead high performance/high morale teams and to foster teamwork; demonstrated experience working in and leading cross-functional teams in a mission-driven organization; and expert technical knowledge, including audit management software. Some travel may be required.

Technical/Specialized
A bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. A minimum of 10 years of audit experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling a minimum of 14 years. Demonstrated expert ability in auditing and accounting. Expertise performing a wide range of performance, compliance and financial-related audits. Strong working knowledge of GAGAS, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Significant experience administering an audit program. Strong proficiency with automated work papers and ability to administer, implement, train, and monitor usage of software. Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to LSC, OIGs and to non-profit corporations is a plus.

A graduate degree and / or relevant certification, e.g. CPA, CISA, CIA, or CMA, are desired. Experience with a Certified Public Accounting firm and/or a Federal Office of Inspector General is a plus.
