    Work may take place in confined spaces, under cramped and uncomfortable conditions and may present eye and foot hazards. Work is subject to extremes of weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, wind, and humidity. You may be exposed to serious injury when working on energized circuits or near operating machinery.
    You must be able to exert heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and moving objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
    You may be required to work a shift that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
    You may be required to work on an overtime basis with little or no prior notice.
    You are required to wear the prescribed John F. Kennedy Center uniform. Personal appearance is to be in compliance with established uniform standards.
    This position is identified as "emergency essential" which means you must report to work during adverse weather conditions and during emergencies.
    This is a full time permanent position without time limitation.

    You must possess and maintain a current valid state or District of Columbia driver's license.
    You will be required to operate the following electric, gasoline, or diesel powered vehicle weight less than 26,000 pounds: passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans, stakebody trucks, utility trucks, bucket trucks, personnel lifts (scissor, single, stick, articulated) and pickup trucks with tag-along trailers.
    You are responsible for remaining drug-free.
    The tour of duty of this position is Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

    Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most Federal Wage System positions, you must show through EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING that you possess the QUALITY level of knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position.     Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most wage grade positions, you MUST have the ability to perform independently and without more than normal supervision the full range of Plumber duties such as performing condition surveys, and performance analysis in order to modify systems and operations thereby satisfying user requirements and increasing operational efficiency.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

    No specific length of experience is required for this position. However, training and experience must be of sufficient scope and quality to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of a Plumber, WG-4206-09. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
