    All applicants must meet one of the following Basic Qualifications:

    A. A BA/BS degree in economics that included at least 21 hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus; OR

    B. Courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education (Examples of qualifying experience include: individual economic research assignments requiring planning, information assembly, analysis and evaluation, conclusions and report preparation; supervisory or project coordination assignments involving a staff of professional economists, and requiring the evaluation and interpretation of economic information; or teaching assignments in a college or university that included both class instruction in economics subjects and one of the following (1) personal research that produced evidence of results, (2) direction of graduate theses in economics, or (3) service as a consultant or advisor on technical economics problems).

    Applicants at the GS-11 must also meet one of the following:

    A. One full year of specialized experience with assisting in identifying, collecting, and analyzing economic and developmental information to determine the impact of investment projects and drafting reports and papers to convey finding and/or information; OR
    B. 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
    C. A combination of experience and education as defined above which equals 100%. (Note: Applicants who select this response must provide transcripts as verification of their education).

    Applicants at the GS-12 must also meet the following:

    One full year of specialized experience to include the specialized experience needed for the GS-11 and also experience working as an Economist in the areas of development, trade, and investment and finance; experience with statistical sampling, data collection, and analysis to determine the impact of investment projects; and presenting written and oral results to stakeholders.

    A written test is not required.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This position has a basic education requirement, you MUST provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. Unless otherwise stated: (1) official or unofficial transcripts are acceptable, or (2) you may submit a list with all of your courses, grades, semester, year, and credit for the course. All materials must be submitted by the closing date of the announcement.

    Only education from institutions which are accredited or preaccredited/candidate for accreditation may be used to meet education requirements.

    The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.

    Stipulations of Employment:

    Selection may require completion of a 1-year probationary period.

    If selected, you will be required to file a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE Form 278).
