Reporting to Adventist HealthCares Design and Communications Manager, the Graphic Designer will produce designed materials for both Adventist HealthCare internal and external clients. This individual will collaborate with other PR/Marketing team members and liaisons throughout our healthcare system to determine project-specific requirements and create materials for a wide variety of print and digital media channels.
Develop creative formatting that will best enhance submitted content while following our corporate brand standards
Work with PR/Marketing team members, and other internal business partners, to ensure that all produced materials are consistent with brand standards, including ads, brochures, posters, mailers, fliers, newsletters, internal communications, etc.
Meet all timeline benchmarks and deadlines
Proof copy and design to ensure projects are error-free
Work on-site five days a week and attend meetings, as assigned
Manage our organizations photo archives
Help maintain the PR/Marketing Departments project management system
Seek out new creative products and maintain cutting-edge industry knowledge
Four-year related degree and a minimum of two years design experience with an in-house creative department or design firm
Solid portfolio with examples showing a strong eye for visual composition
Understanding of production best practices and corporate identity guidelines
Effective creative, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to learn quickly, adapt and work well in a busy environment. Able to handle deadline pressure and thrive in a team setting.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2010, especially Word and PowerPoint
Strong writing and copyediting skills a plus
Strong illustration skills a plus
Experience with HTML, Video Editing and Motion Graphics a plus
