Mobility Analyst (Network/Telecom Analyst II)
This announcement will be used to fill multiple positions. The Mobility Center is seeking a subject matter expert to join their team providing mobile device support, conducting wireless devices configuration for county smart phones, I-Pads, tablets, and other hand held or wireless devices, air-cards, and other, and day-to-day technical support to county agencies, and executive leadership. Responsibilities include troubleshooting service tickets and inquiries. Coordinating with others in DIT for complex configuration requirements and integration with messaging platforms (e.g., email, CRM, etc.) and programs devices on Mobile Device Management platform (MDM). Supervises staff activities, operations coverage and protocols, compliance with policy and efficient and effective processes and procedures for Mobility Center operations. Assists Mobility Center Coordinator in provisioning and coordinates with various vendors and carriers for wireless services. Participates in contracts and negotiations. Supports IT projects and programs for wireless access needs and assists in analyzing county agency requirements. Participates in programs relating to the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of the county's wireless infrastructure in support of mobile applications. Collaborates with DIT divisions for wireless solution design and integration including Platform Technology, Voice and Network Communications Technologies, Network, IT Security, Digital (e-Gov/Web), and DIT senior management. Stays abreast and conducts research on emerging technology trends, solutions, and associated policy matters. Responds to emergency maintenance requirements. Supports special events as required and performs other duties as assigned.Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; plus three years of network and/or telecommunications experience; or a bachelor's degree in such fields; plus one year of experience in network or telecommunications system design, analysis, installation, and troubleshooting.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
Two years of experience in programming mobile devices in AirWatch MDM. Two years of experience in MS Office 365. Experience in installing Diligent Board Books application. Three years of experience in setting up several mobile computer types and smart phones (e.g., I-Pads, Androids, Dell laptops, Surface, etc.). Substantial experience implementing PC images and MS productivity suite applications is a plus.
