Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Director of Operations II. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with a strong understanding of clinic operations and some knowledge of cardiology to join our team of administrative professionals whose mission it is to Improve Health Every Day!

  • Located in Norfolk, Virginia
  • Operational oversight of 13 locations spanning from Williamsburg, VA to Northeast North Carolina
    • Day to day operational oversight of managers
    • Development of direct reports
    • Implementation of new programs
    • Administrative support to RN Practice Council
    • Oversight of construction projects
    • Assist in development of budget and meeting targets
    • Operating budget of $35.6M
  • FTE's
    • 7 managers
    • 150 indirect staff
    • 41 physicians
    • 36 advanced practice staff

Directs and oversees the efficient and effective operations for a large number (11 or more) of ambulatory practices, hospital based practices, and/or diagnostic facilities. Supervises Practice Managers and Team Coordinators assigned to one or more practices. Develops and executes a strategic plan that aligns with the organizational objectives related to staffing, employee development, performance management, customer service/satisfaction, service delivery, quality, revenue enhancement, expense control, budgeting, regulatory compliance, safety and security.

Bachelor's Level Degree
