For the WG-4742-10: You are able to perform less complex Utility System Repairer Operator tasks including performing work that involves routine review and observation of reading on gauges, meters, detectors, recorders, boiler water level indicators and computer generated and analog displays to detect danger signals in operations. Provide assistance to lower level staff as needed.
For the WG-4742-11: With limited instructions from the supervisor you are able to perform less complex Utility System Repairer Operator tasks including performing work that involves routine repair and checkout of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electronic components, assemblies, and devices that require only limited or minor adjustments and where problems analysis is repetitive. Visually examine disassembled components for broken parts, worn surfaces, heat discoloration, and other damaged conditions using magnifying mirror lamps, or microscopes. Test, locate, repair, or replace defective parts such as dials, pointers, jewels, bearing, slip rings, tension springs, coils, magnets, relays, resistors, capacitor, diodes, potentiometers, gears, and valves.
In addition to meeting the requirement above, you must meet the following physical requirement.
Work may be performed in cramped or awkward positions, for which you must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and/or crawl to access work area and/or complete task. You may have to lift objects weighing from 20 to 50 pounds, and upon occasion, in excess of 50 pounds.
