Summary

PenFed is hiring a Closing Coordinator in Reston, Virginia. The primary purpose of this job is to serve as the liaison between the PenFed mortgage operations and the closing vendors. The Closing Coordinator will maintain the on-going relationship with PenFed processors, vendors and Champion Title and Settlements, Inc. In addition, the incumbent will provide support to the PenFed Title Agents, members and vendors, to ensure a smooth refinance or sale transactions for PenFed members.

 

Essential Functions

* Responsible for the data entry on all orders.

* Manage refinance and sale orders for closing transaction.

* Organize and schedule members for closing transactions, ensuring that adequate closing coverage is assigned to each closing transaction.

* Manage and assign notaries for notary transactions.

* Effectively work with members to answer questions about the settlement process.

* Respond to inquiries and e-mails from PenFed processors and members question about the closing process.

* File and scan documents, monitor general email inbox and perform various administrative tasks as needed.

 

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

* High School Diploma required.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel applications.

* Ability to work effectively under aggressive deadlines required.

* Title insurance experience preferred.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

 

Licenses and Certifications

There are no additional licenses and/or certifications required.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

 

Travel

Limited travel to various worksites is required.
