Westat has an immediate opening for a Research Assistant with an interest in behavioral health studies and survey research. The candidate will support project staff in the Instrument Design, Evaluation, and Analysis (IDEA) Services group.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting literature searches, supporting development of questionnaires and other survey materials, organizing and tracking expert recommendations and client feedback, writing and testing instrument specifications, and performing quality control checks. The candidate will work closely with project staff to coordinate tasks and project schedules, summarize meeting minutes and other notetaking activities, draft memos summarizing project-related activities, and work on proposals.
A bachelor's degree in the social sciences
At least 1 year of experience working in a research environment
Basic knowledge of computer office programs and databases is required (e.g., Word, Excel, Access).
Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented; have excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; strong organizational skills; and work well in a Fast-paced team environment.
