General Summary:

Works in collaboration with a physician to diagnose and manage treatment of health center patients.  The Health Center Nurse Practitioner scope of responsibilities include therapeutic health service that focus on health restoration, health maintenance and disease prevention. Provides health education and counseling to individuals and families.

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. 

Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):

Maryland Board of Nursing- Nurse practitioner licensure in Active status BLS certified ACLS certified

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Current active licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland Completion of a nurse practitioner approved by the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of national certifying examination acceptable to the Maryland State Board of Nursing Verification of current national certification CPR certified and ACLS preferred Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a professional nursing role, a minimum of 2 years experience in a Clinic environment preferred. Maintain basic cardiac life support certification. Able to use computers. Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English. Physical requirements for this position includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, stooping, kneeling or crawling, motor coordination, communication skills, visual acuity.
