National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), located in Arlington, VA, seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) Communications & Marketing Specialist (Grant-Funded). This position is a key contributor to the creation and delivery of strategic communications and marketing initiatives needed to maximize registration and participation in AEOP programs nationwide. Will be responsible for all aspects of marketing to include but not limited to social media, website updates, print advertising, participant interviews, and press releases; generating and posting relevant social media, writing blogs, and developing material as requested. Travel to some conferences is required (no more than 5 per year) along with participating at the eCYBERMISSION National Judging and Educational Event.  Experience and familiarity with leading social media platforms including twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. Prior experience with online marketing, blogs and press releases preferred.  Outstanding written and oral communication skills, an excellent command of grammar and the ability to proofread and edit materials for accuracy. Time management skills a must and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.  Knowledge of military (specifically the U.S. Army) protocol and familiarity with military Public Affairs Office preferred.  Bachelor’s degree required.  Three to five years related experience in communications and marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Low to mid $50’s.  Excellent benefits including flexible schedule, medical & dental insurance, generous paid leave & 401(k) match.  Metro-accessible, (Rosslyn/Courthouse), free parking available.  Send resume, cover letter & salary requirements to: hr@nsta.org    EEOE
