Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.
Job Summary: Westat is seeking a project coordinator to work on a research study to evaluate employment services to help US Armed Service members transitioning from active duty to gain employment.   The research office for this study is based in Lebanon, NH.
Job Responsibilities: · Coordinate day-to-day activities. · Provide liaison with consultants and program staff. · Prepare preliminary reports of recruitment flow (CONSORT diagram). · Monitor follow-up completion rates. · Work with the team in planning and trouble-shooting. · Supervise research assistant(s) and ensure completion of following tasks, allocating responsibilities appropriately. · Conduct screening, baseline, and follow-up telephone interviews with 400 veterans over a 4-year period. · Contact research participants to schedule interviews. · Respond to emails and telephone inquiries about the study. · Determine study eligibility and conduct research interviews. · Coordinate linkage study participant with staff of employment programs. · Identify local offices of employment programs for veterans. · Manage data entry, data cleaning, and data file maintenance. · Prepare appropriate representations of data such as data tables, matrices, etc. · Participate in the preparation of reports and presentation of the research findings. · Assist in preparation of materials for Institutional Review Board review and renewal. · Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· A master's degree with 5 years of research (or related) experience and at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor/manager is required.  
Interviewing experience, preferably research interviews. Veteran of the US Armed Services preferred.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, critical thinking skills, and excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a research team.
