Nonprofit association in Alexandria representing the floral industry is seeking a full-time administrative rock star to join our small, fast-paced and dynamic team!
Provides administrative support for day to day operations - copying, scanning, drafting letters/correspondence, and responding to inquiries. Opens mail, handles checks/deposits, prepares print/electronic meeting books, assists with travel details/itineraries, meeting preparations, and prepares and ships materials to events.
Position is responsible for database entry and management of donor database, including pulling reports and mailing coordination, so prior database experience necessary.
The successful candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced office, is resourceful, professional, and has exemplary administrative and database skills.
3-4 years of solid (paid) administrative office experience - prior association experience preferred. Advanced proficiency with Word (mail merge), PowerPoint/Keynote, Excel, Outlook, and Mac required. Expert level experience working with member/donor databases a must. Excellent oral and written communications skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
