Sentara Home Health is seeking a professional, experienced RN to manage and evaluate the work activities of our Home Health Program across the Sentara Home Health division.

This is a key position! Must be able to assure that provision of services is consistent with national standards, policies and procedures, government laws and regulations and corporate guidelines.

BSN required. Will consider RN with Diploma or Associate's Degree RN with written agreement to be enrolled in BSN program within 2 years of date of hire and complete BSN within 5 years of date of hire.

Must have a minimum of 5 years Clinical Nursing experience and 3 years Home Health experience. 2 years Supervisory experience strongly preferred.

This position is based in Chesapeake, Virginia. Travel will be required to all Sentara Home Health locations when needed. Our Home Health areas include Woodbridge, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Newport News, Suffolk and Chesapeake in Virginia and Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Position is responsible for managing and evaluating the work activities of the Home Health program across the division to the provision of services is consistent with national standards; policies and procedures; government laws and regulations; and corporate guidelines. Travels to locations within area of responsibility where needed. Will evaluate processes, delivery of care and interpret company policies to facilitate compliance. Assists and directs locations with improvements in clinical operational process, analyzes operational needs and recommends and directs improvement in methodologies. Exists as the subject matter expert regarding clinical operations issues and educates location staff to maximize performance and to ensure understanding of compliance with company goals and policies. Participates in training and development programs and evaluates effectiveness. Manages performance improvement projects to assure effectiveness and maintenance of outcomes. Prepares activity reports to inform senior management of the status and implementation plans of programs, services and quality initiatives.

Education Level
Bachelor's Level Degree - NURSING

Required: Clinical Nursing - 5 years, Home Health - 3 years

Preferred: Supervisory - 2 years

Required: Basic Life Support, Registered Nurse

RN candidates after November 30, 2017 will be required to have a BSN. RN hires prior to November 30, 2017 will be required to sign a BSN agreement committing to enrollment in accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire.
