POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Projects Coordinator supports the network, software, hardware and IT infrastructure visions and goals of all operations laid out by senior leadership and service owners and reports to the Program Orders and Execution Directorate.

Responsible for support services in coordination of research, scheduling, management of project team activities, liaison work with 3rd party vendors and customers, external and internal, required to meet all established goals in regard to these stand-along projects and/or adjunct projects in support of Program baseline contract services and when ordered service requests.

Works independently, authors, prepared reviews and present status briefing to the customer and/or PO & E Manager. Develops project plans and schedules, tracks government CDRL deliverables. Provides project status by identifying cost schedule or technical issues affecting the project. Submits cost and schedule variance. Strong written communication skills works in a multi-discipline project team with the government customer. Current DoD, ITIL experience and CAPM is desirable.

Works closely with a variety of customers including; Infrastructure technical resources, application technical resources, end users, vendor sales/infrastructure project professionals.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.
  1. Coordination of assigned project resource and scheduling using Microsoft Projects
  2. Management of activities (including Program teams assigned adjunctly to assigned projects)
  3. Develop Project Plans and Schedules to manage assigned projects using Project Server
  4. Provide Project Status Reporting to include Resource and Technical Issues to Senior Leadership.
  5. Identify and mitigate Resource and Schedule issues impacting assigned Projects.
  6. Prepare Government CDRL's, as required
  1. Coordinate and facilitate cooperation from multiple areas within Program directorate organizations as well as with 3rd party vendors and customers (internal and external) to accomplish assignments
  2. Work independent, and/or within a team environment, to accomplish assignments
  3. Travel, as required
  4. Performs other duties, as required.


MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working environment will be standard office environment to include computer and printer equipment, phones, fax and scanning devices.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Individual should be able to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time and read small print along with long periods of time looking at a computer monitor.
  • Hours mayvary to include weekends and evenings, on occasion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience. CAPM is a plus.

Experience:
  • Experience Managing Complex IT Projects in a dynamic Enterprise environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Project 2010 or higher.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, research, and independent thinking skills are critical
  • Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated oral and verbal communication skills to include an ability to work comfortably with persons from all strata of an organization.
