The Systems Engineer will support the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S), Project Manager (PM) Terrestrial Sensors (TS), PdM EO/IR-FP as the Lead Systems Engineer for the PSS-G Family of systems (FoS). The PSS-G FoS are a family of Elevated surveillance systems that provides 24/7, 360° visual coverage with Electro-Optical, Mid-Wave Infrared, Short-Wave Infrared, Radar, laser pointing, and Un-attended ground sensor capabilities.

In this position a successful candidate will assist the government technical director and government lead engineer in ensuring PSS-G Engineering functions are coordinated in a manner to provide state of the art capabilities to deployed forces.

Essential Job Functions:

PSS-G Family of Systems in support of multiple Engineering Integrated Product
Ensuring obsolescence issues are solved in a timely manner that maximizes the introduction of low risk new capabilities to protect deployed forces

Manage and maintain safety and capabilities and limitations reporting requirements for all variants of the systems with the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)

Work closely with NVESD and AMRDEC partners to determine technical tasking requirements and prioritization of tasking is managed IAW the PdM's priorities.

Coordinate with the user community (CENTCOM, ARCENT, SOCOM, USFOR-A, EUCOM, PACOM) to decompose Operational Needs Statement Requirements into technical requirements in order to rapidly deploy state of the art systems to deployed forces.

Develop and support contract documentation translating technical requirements into contractual requirements to support engineering efforts for Performance Work Statements (PWS's)

Perform budget tasks to properly capture system engineering requirements in the Program spend plans, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure engineering efforts are properly resourced

Prepare briefings both visually and orally to senior management, external stakeholders, and industry to effectively communicate engineering information about the Family of Systems

Assist the logisticians team in determining reorder points based on MTBF values of system components and component lead times to ensure deployed systems are supported and system changes are planned for.
Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in a related area and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Secret clearance is required.

A successful candidate would have demonstrated knowledge of existing FP technology in the areas of EO/MWIR/SWIR cameras, Ground Surveillance RADARs, unattended ground sensors, Laser Range Finders, Laser Pointers, Alternative Energy Systems, Wireless Radios, Command and Control software and other FP technologies.

DAU Level 2 certification (or equivalent) in Engineering.
