    Positions may require a Financial Management Level I, II, or III certification per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. The certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.     In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.     To qualify for GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree OR you have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Identifying and mitigating hazards in the workplace; 2) compiling reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software; 3) presenting briefings to upper management OR you have a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience. Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Health Physicist (CHP), or similar certification that included successful completion of a written examination also meets the requirements for the GS-5.

    To qualify for GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate that you have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education OR you have have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR you have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Providing guidance on Safety and Occupational Health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices and procedures to advise personnel; 2) Participating as a member of a survey or inspection team led by a higher graded specialist to learn the techniques of hazard identification; and 3) Reviewing past inspection records of mishaps to prevent unsafe acts or work practices OR you have a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience.
